Minister Confirms UAE Tourism Support Package
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, confirmed that the UAE is actively supporting the tourism sector through daily engagement, noting that a tourism support package will soon address tourism issues and key challenges affecting businesses across the sector.

The announcement comes as travel flows and aviation activity are impacted, placing increased pressure on hospitality operators and related businesses within the UAE tourism sector.
Dubai Economic Support Package Provides Immediate Relief
To provide immediate relief, Dubai introduced a Dh1 billion economic support package allowing hotels and businesses to defer government fees for three months starting April 1, including 100 percent of sales fees on rooms, food, and beverages, as well as the Tourism Dirham, helping ease liquidity pressure across the tourism sector.
Tourism Support Package Expands to Hotels and Holiday Homes
The scope of the tourism support package has been expanded to include hotel apartments and holiday homes, offering broader relief and supporting operational continuity across the UAE tourism sector during a challenging period.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, stated that the response has been shaped by ongoing consultations with stakeholders in the tourism sector, ensuring that both immediate measures and the upcoming tourism support package address operational concerns and maintain sector momentum.

The UAE government is closely monitoring price controls and supply conditions to ensure market stability and prevent disruptions from impacting consumer costs, with strict oversight on food and beverage pricing requiring approval before any increase, while consumers are advised to shop through major outlets and avoid stockpiling as supply chains remain stable.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri emphasized that the UAE economy remains resilient, stating that short term regional conflict will not determine the future of the UAE economy and reaffirming confidence that the country will bounce back, supported by strong infrastructure, policy agility, and continuous engagement with businesses and consumers.
